February 2026

A Note From The Doctor:

February is Heart Health Month, a great time to focus on simple, sustainable habits that support one of the most important organs in your body your heart. Heart health isn’t just about avoiding disease; it’s about creating daily routines that improve circulation, lower inflammation, reduce stress, and support long-term vitality.

One of the most powerful ways to support heart health is regular movement. Consistent exercise helps strengthen the heart muscle, improve blood flow, regulate blood pressure, and support healthy cholesterol levels. This doesn’t mean you need intense workouts; daily walking, strength training, yoga, or mobility-based exercise done regularly can have a profound impact over time. The key is consistency and finding movement you enjoy so it becomes part of your lifestyle.

Another powerful and up and coming tool for heart health is sauna use. Research has shown that four, twenty min sauna sessions per week decrease your sudden cardiac death, heart disease, and stroke. Sauna use also helps reduce stress, promote relaxation, and support detoxification—all factors that play a role in overall heart health. It also doesn’t matter if it is infrared or dry sauna what matters is the duration and consistency your body is at the higher temperature. The longer and more consistent the use the better the effect.

In addition to exercise and sauna therapy, stress management, proper sleep, hydration, and spinal health all contribute to how well your heart functions. Chronic stress and nervous system imbalance can place extra strain on the cardiovascular system, which is why chiropractic care plays an important role in supporting overall wellness.

This Heart Health Month, we encourage you to focus on small, manageable changes that you can maintain long-term. Your heart works for you every day supporting it with intentional habits can make a lasting difference in your health and quality of life.

If you’d like guidance on exercise, recovery, sauna use, or how chiropractic care fits into a heart-healthy lifestyle, we’re always here to help.

New Technique Spotlight

Activator

You might have seen this tool lying on our table as you walk into the adjusting rooms. It is called The Activator, or better known to our patients as the “staple gun.”

The Activator is a handheld chiropractic instrument that delivers a gentle, precise impulse to specific joints in the spine or extremities. It’s designed to restore motion and alignment without the twisting or cracking often associated with manual adjustments.

The tool delivers a quick, controlled force that helps guide joints back into proper movement, making it comfortable, fast, and highly specific.

We find The Activator is great for patients who do not like the cracking, have muscle tension in the areas we are adjusting, or are suffering from chronic stress or autoimmune conditions. It offers a different adjusting technique for patients looking for a more precise, low-force adjustment.

Ask about it next time you’re in the office, and we would be happy to show you.
