THINK YOU DRINK ENOUGH WATER, THINK AGAIN!

4 Hydrating Tips and Tricks

Staying healthy is hopefully now a normal part of your “normal” life. Some of these lifestyles include being more positive, working out more, eating healthy and keeping your adjustment schedules. However, despite all of these, people still do not think about hydration and the importance of it. Since the body is made up of 60-70% water, we need to stay hydrated to maintain this level and stay healthy. Staying dehydrated can affect your hormones and drinking a lot of water can help lose weight. You need to start drinking water because there are many health benefits of staying hydrated.

Carry a 1 Gallon Jug Along

Get a BPA-Free 1-gallon water jug from the nearest grocery store or Amazon. Fill up this jug every day before leaving home and carry it with you. Drink this water throughout the day. Once you can finish the water from this jug daily, you will be getting 128 ounces, and that is enough to hydrate the body per day. To get the logic, you should drink water that is half your body weight in ounces. For example, if your weight is 180 pounds, you should drink at least 90 ounces of water per day.  We also have a reverse osmosis water filtration system at out office that actually adds the minerals back into your water.  Please come and fill up your water here if you like.

Go Alkaline

They type of water most of us drink contains chlorine, fluoride, and other toxic chemicals that can affect our body. Although we may not be able to know the number of toxic materials in our water, we should invest in an alkaline water machine. This machine does not only clean the water, but it will also change its pH to the one that will not affect the body. You will not only save money once you get this machine; you are also saving your life.  Again, come and fill up at our office.

Drink Room Temperature Water

Once you’ve started drinking alkaline water, you should make sure it is at room temperature. Back in the days when we don’t have access to cold water, the water we drank was at room temperature, and we were doing well. Cold water slows down digestion in the body because the body will have to make sure the water is warm before it circulates throughout the body. It is better to drink water at room temperature especially during meals.

Add Lemon to Your Water

Adding lemon to your water is the final step to staying hydrated and healthy. When you wake up in the morning, the best water therapy should be to drink a glass of water with a quantity of lemon squeezed in it. This will help wake up your body and keep it energized. Lemon can do this because it has many anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. In addition to this, adding lemon to your drinking water will help to maintain the alkalinity of your body and keep the pH balanced.

Wrap up

You should neglect the common misconception that drinking much water leads to water retention because the inverse is the case. Not drinking enough water causes water retention. This is because once the body notices a lack of water intake, it will prevent the one it has from going out. Water is a natural appetite suppressant, and it helps to metabolize stored fat in the body. Drink enough water to stay healthy and to prevent the body from using the water in body cells to perform the desired tasks.
